Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has called for a report on the violence over the Kikar-Navgaon drinking water scheme being built on Ali Khad in Arki assembly constituency on the border of Solan and Bilaspur.

When MLA Randhir Sharma and public representative Arki went to talk to the administration, the Darlaghat police present there started pushing and using sticks. This made people angry.
District Council President Prem Singh Thakur, Sikroa Panchayat President Bhup Singh, Sant Dheeraj Bharti, Sant Rameshwar Giri said that when the news had reached the government that people had been opposing this scheme for so many days. So the government should have taken action. Arki administration should have given orders to stop the construction work, but the construction work continued. When the MLA and local public representatives started going to talk to the Arki administration to stop the work, the police stopped them forcefully. Due to this the people present there became angry. Badar Khad, Ali Khad and Panjaini Khad are found in Trivenighat. There is also a crematorium of dozens of panchayats here.
By building a ghat at this place, it can be made like Prayagraj, but preparations are being made to make this area drought-stricken by making a huge drinking water scheme.
The work on the scheme also started in the year 2020. Even then people had protested against it, in view of which the then government had given instructions to stop the work.
Now it is being made a battle of Solan and Bilaspur. The panchayats which are being provided water through this scheme are being asked to do so. He is around Koldam. Water should be provided to these panchayats from Koldam. So that even the ravines do not dry up and the people of Solan panchayats also get ample water.
