Himachal Pradesh government reaches Supreme Court to challenge CPS appointments –

The Himachal Pradesh government has now approached the Supreme Court of India in the entire matter of challenging the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly.

The State Government of Himachal Pradesh has filed a transfer petition for the entire cases of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries in the Honorable Supreme Court of India.

The entire petition will be heard by the judges of the Supreme Court on Friday on the bench of Court No. 3 of the Supreme Court.

On the other hand, a full hearing will be held on November 4 between the Himachal Pradesh Government and the Himachal Pradesh High Court in the matter of appointment of the entire Parliamentary Secretary.

Himachal Pradesh Government has filed transfer petitions regarding this entire appointments under Article 139A of the Civil Constitution of India.

It has been requested through the petition filed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh that Kalpana Devi vs. Government of Himachal Pradesh and all others CWPIL No. 19/2023, as well as Satpal Singh Satti vs. Government of Himachal Pradesh and all others CWP 2507/2023 and People for Responsible Governance vs. State Government of Himachal Pradesh and all others CWP No. 2565/2023 including CWP No. 3000/2016 has been transferred to the Supreme Court.

It has also been argued that all the petitions of State of West Bengal vs. Vishak Bhattacharya, State of Punjab vs. Jagmohan Singh Bhatti and State of Chhattisgarh vs. Rakesh Chaudhary are already pending in the Honorable Supreme Court for a long time.
