The BJP today, under the leadership of state party president Rajeev Bindal and leader of the opposition Jairam Thakur, submitted a memorandum to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla in Shimla on various burning issues of the state.
In the memorandum, the BJP has demanded that the investigation of the recent tragic murder in Chamba should be conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), so that the truth of the matter can be revealed to the public and the accused can be punished severely.
It was said in the memorandum that Himachal Pradesh is known as Devbhoomi and due to this massacre, its image has been tarnished. It is also stated in the memorandum that
The law and order economy has collapsed in the state and more than forty murder cases have come up during the six months of the Congress government.
And apart from this, criminal cases have been registered on hundreds of others. In the memorandum, it was also demanded that allotment of permits running on the high hills of Chamba district should be re-examined.
Apart from this, verification should also be done as per the rules of the people of specific communities coming from outside states who are doing various types of small and big business, later the BJP protested outside the Raj Bhavan and raised slogans against the Congress government.
