AAP's Satyendar Jain hospitalised after falling in Tihar Jail bathroom

Delhi: Former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain has been hospitalized after he fainted in the bathroom of Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Jain, who has been lodged in Tihar Jail since last year, suffered minor injuries and was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital has been admitted. “Today at around 6 am, Under Trial Prisoner (UTP) Dr Satendra Jain collapsed in the bathroom of the Medical Inspection (MI) room of the Central Jail (CJ-7) hospital where he was kept under general observation.

Doctors examined Jain and his vital organs were found to be normal. “He was further referred to DDU Hospital as he complained of pain in back, left leg and shoulder,” said an official statement from jail authorities. Former AAP minister Jain was taken to Safdarjung Hospital on Monday after he complained of health problems. The AAP has claimed that Jain suffers from acute low back pain, vertigo and chronic low back pain due to a slipped disc. Party said the pain radiated to her lower limbs, causing her to feel constant tingling and loss of movement. A recent MRI done on 3 May reveals degeneration in all the intervertebral discs of Satyendar Jain, prompting doctors to recommend immediate spinal/vertebral surgery and proper post-operative care.
