Himachal Pradesh Sanctions ₹22.44 Crore for Health Institutions

The Himachal Pradesh government has approved an additional ₹22.44 crore to accelerate the construction of various health department buildings across the state. An official spokesperson said the move is aimed at further strengthening healthcare services in the region.
According to the details provided, ₹7.92 crore has been sanctioned for a cath lab at the District Hospital in Kullu, ₹2.64 crore for Type-4 and Type-3 quarters and an additional block at the Civil Hospital in Nadaun, and ₹1.98 crore for the Civil Hospital in Kandaghat.
Similarly, ₹3.30 crore has been allocated to the Civil Hospital in Amb (Una district). In addition, ₹1.32 crore each has been earmarked for doctors’ residences at the Community Health Centre in Haripur (Kangra district), the CHC building at Haripur Dehra, doctors’ residences at the Civil Hospital in Dehra, the PHC building in Bankhandi (Kangra district), and the hospital at Gagret.
The spokesperson emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the government is committed to providing quality healthcare services. Strengthening healthcare infrastructure remains a top priority, with advanced medical technologies being introduced in medical colleges across the state to ensure that patients do not need to travel outside Himachal Pradesh for specialized care.
