EU Agency Says Third-Party Ransomware Behind Airport Disruptions

The European Union’s cybersecurity agency said Monday that disruptions at airports caused by failures in automated check-in systems were the result of a third-party ransomware incident.

“The type of ransomware has been identified, and law enforcement authorities are investigating,” the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) said in a statement.
