Mandi, August 4:
Jabna Chauhan, widely known as India’s youngest and one of the most celebrated former panchayat heads, has embarked on a new journey in life after marrying Mandeep Singh, a resident of Sundernagar. The wedding ceremony took place on the last Monday of the holy month of Shravan at the BSL Gurudwara, where the couple solemnized their union in a simple and spiritual Anand Karaj ceremony held in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib.

The ceremony was attended by close family members and friends who blessed the couple and wished them a lifetime of happiness and prosperity.

Mandeep Singh, who belongs to the Sikh community, is employed with the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board. Jabna Chauhan, on the other hand, rose to national prominence for her pioneering work at the grassroots level. As a young sarpanch, she earned widespread recognition for her initiatives on sanitation, women empowerment, and prohibition, becoming a symbol of transformative leadership in rural India.

Her work garnered attention from many quarters, including Bollywood. Actor Akshay Kumar personally invited her to the promotion of his film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Over the years, Jabna has been honored by prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Captain Amarinder Singh, the late Virbhadra Singh, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Jai Ram Thakur, former Governor Acharya Devvrat, and current Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Jabna has also been featured among India’s 100 most influential women—a reflection of her remarkable journey of resilience, service, and leadership.

As she enters this new chapter of life, Jabna continues to inspire many across the nation. Warm wishes and heartfelt congratulations have poured in from well-wishers all over the country, celebrating the union of two lives dedicated to purpose and progress.
