Shimla, July 31
A one-day Ayushman Arogya Health Camp was successfully organised at the Anganwadi Centre in Peeran, with support from the Department of Health & Family Welfare and the TRIH initiative. The camp was led by Medical Officer Dr. Ishan and saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, with health check-ups conducted for over 50 individuals.

Dr. Ishan shared that free screening and medication were provided for common conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Several villagers were diagnosed with these conditions for the first time, giving them an opportunity to begin timely treatment. Required medications were distributed on the spot.

The medical team also educated attendees on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, regular exercise, and routine health check-ups. Dr. Ishan emphasized that such camps are regularly conducted under the Ayushman Arogya Mandir Yojana to ensure that essential healthcare services are accessible to rural populations without the need to travel long distances.

Local residents expressed their appreciation for the initiative and participated with great interest. Many urged that such camps be held more frequently, especially to benefit the elderly and women in the community, and to raise overall health awareness.
