Shimla, May 14:
Congress leader Sunil Chauhan has been appointed as the Social Media Coordinator to Industries Minister Thakur Harshwardhan Chauhan. Chauhan previously served as the Social Media In-Charge for the Sirmaur district.

Following his appointment, Chauhan expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Industries Minister Thakur Harshwardhan Chauhan, and senior Congress leaders from Sirmaur and Shillai for entrusting him with this new responsibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Chauhan said he would carry out his duties with full dedication and integrity. He emphasized his commitment to disseminating the Congress government’s welfare initiatives and policies through social media, while also highlighting what he termed as the anti-people policies of the BJP. He noted the increasing influence of social media, particularly among the youth, with nearly 80% of young people actively engaged on these platforms. “It’s essential that the government’s work and vision are communicated clearly and accurately to the public,” he added.

Chauhan also stated that a key focus moving forward would be to promote the Congress party’s ideology and publicize the development work undertaken by Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan in the Shillai region, especially in view of the upcoming panchayat elections. “Our goal is to ensure Congress-backed candidates secure victory,” he said.

Chauhan’s appointment has been met with warm congratulations from senior party leaders and grassroots workers alike.
