Shimla, May 14 – In a powerful tribute to the courage and heroism of the Indian Army, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a vibrant Tiranga Yatra in Shimla under the banner of the Citizen for National Security Forum. This comes in the backdrop of recent tensions with Pakistan, where the Indian Army has once again demonstrated its formidable strength and resolute spirit.

The procession began from the DC Office and passed through Lower Bazaar and Mall Road, culminating at the historic Ridge Ground in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, trade associations, women’s and youth groups, student unions, and religious and social organizations.

The yatra was led by former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, along with BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal. Addressing the gathering, Jai Ram Thakur said, “This march is a symbol of our deep respect for the Indian Army. Time and again, our forces have compelled Pakistan to retreat. After the recent incident in Pahalgam, the Army’s swift and fitting response has made the nation proud.”

He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India continues to rise on the global stage. “The war may be paused for now, but if Pakistan attempts another terror strike, our Army will respond in kind — firmly and fearlessly.”

State BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal also praised the Army’s decisive response, stating, “The Indian Army has given a strong message to Pakistan. Should they provoke us again, the reply will be even more powerful.”

The Tiranga Yatra not only served as a patriotic display of national unity but also reaffirmed unwavering public support for the Indian armed forces.
