Major Landslide Hits Dhalli Bypass in Shimla, Disrupts Traffic and Power Supply

Shimla, April 27:
A major landslide struck the Dhalli Bypass area of Shimla on Saturday afternoon, bringing traffic to a complete standstill. Debris from the landslide, along with several uprooted small trees, blocked the road, severely affecting vehicular movement.

The incident also caused damage to power lines, disrupting electricity supply to several nearby homes. Teams from the local administration and the electricity department have reached the site and are working to clear the debris and restore power as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. Authorities have urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel through the affected area and to strictly follow safety advisories.
