Heightened Alert at Himachal Borders Following Pahalgam Terror Attack; CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Calls for Increased Vigilance

Shimla, April 23: In the wake of Tuesday evening’s terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh has issued a high alert along its borders. Security forces have been instructed to step up vigilance and maintain heightened awareness in sensitive areas.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu strongly condemned the attack and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. The tragic incident resulted in the loss of several tourists’ lives and left many others injured.

Speaking at the Shimla Secretariat, the Chief Minister stated, “Such acts of violence have no place in a civilized society. Those responsible must be brought to justice through strict and decisive action. The Government of India should take serious note of the incident and implement concrete measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.”

He also acknowledged the visit of the Union Home Minister to the site, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. “In this hour of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” he added.
