Shimla, April 16: On the occasion of Himachal Day 2025, the state-level function held at Killar, Pangi in the tribal region of Lahaul-Spiti witnessed a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh Police as Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu honored police stations across the state for their outstanding performance in the year 2024.
In the state-level evaluation, Thana Sadar, District Bilaspur was declared the Best Police Station in Himachal Pradesh, followed by Thana BSL Colony, Mandi in second place and Thana Damtal, Kangra securing third place.
Una Women Police Station Bags Top Spot for Excellence in Women’s Safety
Among women’s police stations, Mahila Thana Una was recognized as the Best Women Police Station of the Year for its remarkable work in handling sensitive cases, ensuring speedy redressal, and maintaining strong community engagement regarding crimes against women.
Police Force Lauded for Dedication and Public Trust
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sukhu praised the professionalism and commitment of the police force. He remarked,
“Himachal Police is consistently doing commendable work in the direction of service, safety, and public trust. Recognizing their dedication will inspire more officers to perform with excellence.”
The event was attended by senior police officials, government representatives, and dignitaries from across the state.
