Shimla, April 8:
A promising career path in Special Education has just opened up for the youth of Himachal Pradesh. Aastha Special School in Nahan has initiated the admission process for its two-year Special Education Diploma Course for the 2025-2027 session. This course, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi, is equivalent to Junior Basic Training (JBT) and offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a mark in the field of special education.

Candidates with a minimum educational qualification of a 12th pass are eligible to apply for the course. Upon completion, graduates will not only be qualified for JBT positions but will also find employment opportunities as Special Educators, contributing to the education of children with special needs. The application process is offline, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply soon to secure their spot.

In another significant development, the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Shimla has also announced recruitment for 193 outsourced/project-based posts for special teachers at the primary and upper primary levels across the state. A special education diploma is a mandatory qualification for these positions. This recruitment provides a unique opportunity for those completing the diploma to apply for government or project-based roles in education.

The NIELIT has set a deadline for applications, which must be sent through speed post or registered post by April 28, 2025. A demand draft of ₹500 is required to accompany the application.

This combination of educational qualifications and job opportunities makes it a golden chance for those passionate about special education to not only contribute to the field but also secure stable government employment.
