Shimla, February 15: The media fraternity in Himachal Pradesh is in mourning following the sudden death of 20-year-old Amil Sharma, daughter of senior ETV Himachal Pradesh journalist Rajneesh Sharma. Amil passed away at IGMC Shimla after a brief illness, leaving her family, friends, and the entire journalism community in shock and sorrow.
A student at Sanjauli College, Amil had been battling thalassemia, a condition she had lived with for several years. As the only child of her parents, her untimely passing has left a deep void in their lives. The family, along with relatives, friends, and many from the media world, gathered for her cremation earlier today to pay their final respects.
Amil was known not only for her academic excellence but also for her exceptional talent in poetry. Her writing resonated deeply with many, and she recently garnered widespread recognition for securing first place in a poetry competition involving 13 colleges.
