Shimla, February 11: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a remarkable milestone in the state’s digital governance efforts, revealing that 99.84% of family members have been successfully verified on the E-Parivar register. With a total of 75,18,296 family members in the state, 75,05,913 have now been verified, significantly enhancing the efficiency, accessibility, and transparency of government services.

The E-Parivar system is an online platform introduced to manage family records at the Gram Panchayat level. To streamline the process, each Panchayat Secretary has been given secure login credentials to input and update family data for their respective regions.

CM Sukhu emphasized that this system, which became mandatory from April 27, 2024, has already shown its potential to improve the accuracy and efficiency of record-keeping across the state. The E-Parivar initiative also simplifies the process of adding new families or making updates to existing records, thus ensuring smooth and hassle-free governance.

The verification process is not limited to family records alone; it is being integrated with ration card data to further enhance the delivery of services. The platform also allows citizens to access important documents such as Parivar Nakal, marriage certificates, and BPL certificates through the E-Parivar and E-District portals.

Sukhu reiterated the government’s commitment to modernizing administration and improving public service delivery. “We have instructed all departments to integrate digital solutions into their operations, enhancing transparency and improving efficiency, making government services more accessible to the people,” he said.

This move is a step toward reducing the bureaucratic burden by minimizing paperwork and streamlining administrative processes. By making the E-Parivar system mandatory, the government is ensuring that services reach the people at their doorsteps.

CM Sukhu concluded by stating, “The E-Parivar initiative is a testament to Himachal Pradesh’s vision of a digitally empowered state, where governance becomes more accessible, efficient, and transparent for every citizen.”
