Una, 09 February: A person from Panjawar, subdivision Haroli has lodged a complaint for posting objectionable posts on social media. It is alleged that Ravi, a resident of Raunkhar, Bangana, who runs a social media page, has made objectionable comments against Himachal Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Dera Baba Rudranand Ashram Nari, which has hurt religious sentiments.

Complainant Deepak Mankotia, a resident of Panjawar, told the police in his complaint that Ravi posted a post on his Facebook account, in which the Deputy Chief Minister has been accused of interfering in religious places and promoting a particular community. It was written in the post that “Mukesh Agnihotri, who worships graves, is infiltrating the monastery-temples of Devbhoomi. He is strengthening the Jihadi ecosystem.” Not only this, Mukesh Agnihotri has also made inroads into the Dera Baba Rudranand Ashram. The heir to the throne of the monastery has bowed down before Mukesh Agnihotri to hide his misdeeds. In such a situation, the enemy politicians of Sanatan and the unrighteous babas will have to be driven away from religious places.

Apart from this, controversial things were also written about the Dera Baba Rudranand Ashram in the post. Deepak Mankotia says that in the 15-minute video shared by Ravi, an attempt has been made to tarnish the image of the ashram and hurt religious sentiments. According to the complainant, such language can cause tension between the Hindu and Muslim communities and there is a possibility of deteriorating social harmony.

DSP Haroli Mohan Rawat confirmed that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against Ravi resident Raunkhar and the police has started investigation. He said that appropriate legal action is being taken in the matter.
