Sirmaur: Local people made allegations on the under construction Paonta-Shillai-Gumma National Highway, said – ‘The team that came to listen to the problems returned midway’
There is a lot of anger among the local people due to the problems being faced during the construction of the highway not being resolved.
Sirmaur, Sourabh Jaiswal: After NGT’s cognizance on the construction of National Highway Paonta-Shillai-Gumma in Sirmaur district, Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur had ordered to form a departmental team and visit the construction works, but the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the consultancy team returned halfway, which has caused a lot of resentment among the people.
Environmentalist Nathuram Chauhan said that even before this, the team had reached twice regarding the construction of the highway, but returned halfway, which is not right.

The same Naib Tehsildar Kamaru OP Thakur said that the officers in the team returned halfway while the people kept waiting for the team with their problems.
He also admitted that the problems of the people were not resolved in the previous inspections.
