Man arrested with 2 kg opium in Solan

The police team was on patrol near Sadhupul turn, during which the team received secret information about smuggling of opium by a person. Taking immediate action, the police arrested the suspect Suraj Gupta, son Rangi Lal Gupta, resident of village and post office Puraini, Tehsil Nepalgunj, District Banke, Anchal Bheri, Nepal. 2 kg opium was recovered from the possession of the Nepalese.
In this case, a case has been registered against the accused in Kandaghat Police Station under Section 18 of the NDPS Act. The arrested accused is being interrogated intensively by the police, and his previous criminal record is also being investigated. The accused was produced in the court on Friday. SP Gaurav Singh said that the investigation of the case is going on.
